A funeral service for Susan Elizabeth Mommsen, 61, of Cleburne, will be held, Thursday, July 17, 2025, at 10:00 AM in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel, located at 512 N. Ridgeway, Cleburne, TX 76033. Interment will follow in Rosehill Cemetery, in Cleburne. The visitation will be Wednesday, July 16, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home, located at 512 N Ridgeway Dr, Cleburne, TX 76033. Susan Elizabeth Mommsen, born on August 1, 1963, in New Haven, Connecticut, passed away on June 30, 2025, in California. She was a spirited individual whose contributions to her community and profession were significant and impactful.
An exemplary member of her community, Susan spent many years proudly working at the Yale School of Management, where she left a lasting impression on her colleagues and students alike. Her dedication to her work demonstrated a strong commitment to excellence that was admired by all who knew her.
Susan's passions extended beyond her professional life. She was a devoted volunteer with the Greater New Haven Celiac Group, where her efforts helped raise awareness and support for those affected by Celiac Disease. Additionally, she was a lifelong member of the Girls Friendly Society, a testament to her enduring commitment to fostering relationships and nurturing the spirit of friendship among young women.
Art played a significant role in Susan's life; she found great joy in art classes in Cleburne, Texas, where her creativity flourished. Her love for the arts was not just a hobby but a cherished aspect of her identity that she proudly embraced.
Susan is survived by her spouse, Paul Mommsen; parents, Richard and Beverly (Quinn) Chevalier; children, Alyssa and Brooke Mommsen; siblings, Rick and Judith Chevalier; and numerous nieces and nephews.
As we remember Susan, let us celebrate her life, her unwavering spirit, and the countless ways she touched our lives.
