Susan Marie Stevens, aka Mom aka NANA aka SusieQ, 60, of Niles passed away peacefully on July 22, 2025, at her home.
Susie was born on September 26,1964 in Berrien Center, Michigan, the only girl of 5 children. She lived in the Michiana area her whole life.
She is survived by her life partner of 25 years (married 14 years) Gilbert Stevens Jr., her Mother Joyce Riggs, her brothers John Riggs and Billy Riggs, her 2 daughters Brandi Gross and Brittany Gross, and her 7 grandchildren Julian, Dantae, Kario, Karly, Mark, Donavon and Myah.
Susie was proceeded in death by her father William "Gene" Riggs and her 2 brothers Raymond Riggs and Carl "Bucky" Riggs.
Susie was very adventurous in her younger years, always traveling and loved amusement parks and camping. She loved hanging out with friends and playing darts and was loved by everyone! She also greatly loved and cherished her husband, children and grandchildren.
Susie was very nonchalant and had not a care in the world but could also be quite a firecracker!! Although she is missed so greatly, her family finds peace in knowing she is no longer suffering.
A celebration of life will be held for all family and friends at a future date. The family was assisted by Heritage Chapel and Cremation Services, 8747 US 31, Berrien Springs, MI.
