Susan Wenrick, a spirited and loving soul, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2025, in Pleasant Hill, Ohio, at the age of 74. Born on June 10, 1950, in Troy, Ohio, to the late William and Helen (Pash) Wenrick.
A proud graduate of Newton High School in 1968, Susan furthered her education at Sinclair Community College, where she expanded her knowledge and prepared for a life full of curiosity and learning. Her love for travel took her on many journeys, including memorable rides across the country on her beloved Harley Davidson motorcycle. She embraced the wind through the hills of Tennessee and the majestic landscapes of the Black Hills of South Dakota with equal enthusiasm.
Susan's interests were as varied as they were passionate. She was an avid reader, often lost in the magical world of Harry Potter, and found joy in the simple pleasure of word searches while sipping her favorite coffee. Her love for Oreo cookies was matched only by her admiration for actor Mel Gibson. She was a regular at concerts, reveling in the music and the shared experience with fellow fans.
Her adventurous spirit was complemented by a deep love for her family. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Rachel Wenrick, granddaughter Cheyanne Werling, and her honorary grandson, Steven Ross, who, along with great-grandchildren Addison, Zachary, and Steven, brought immense joy and pride to her life. Susan also leaves behind her siblings, Richard Wenrick, Steven Wenrick (Carmon), and Terry Wenrick (Sandi), who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her sisters-in-law, Jeanne Wenrick and Rita Wenrick.
Susan's love for cars led her to many car shows, where she appreciated the beauty and craftsmanship of both classic and modern vehicles. She cherished the time spent with her family, whether it was taking her dog Tiny on long walks or sharing the excitement of a bowling league with her mother, Helen.
Those who knew Susan will remember her as an adventurous and loving individual. Her presence was a source of comfort and joy to her family and friends, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Susan's life was a testament to the power of embracing one's passions and the importance of family. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she touched, and her spirit will continue to inspire adventure and love in the lives of her loved ones.
As we bid farewell to Susan Wenrick, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of adventure, love, and cherished moments. Her journey on this earth may have come to an end, but her story will be told for generations, a beautiful reminder of the impact one life can have on so many. Her memory will forever be a treasure.
