Susanne M. Holsinger (Goyette) of Clarkson passed away Friday, February 14, 2025 at the age of 72. Sue was born in Flint on December 19th 1952, the daughter of Mark and Evelyn (Courneya) Goyette. After graduating from Flint Central High School she Married Phillip Holsinger in 1972. Sue attended Hurley Hospital School of Nursing where she earned her Registered Nursing degree in 1974, and continued to work at Hurley Hospital as an RN. In 1976 she moved to the Waterford area and started working at Crittenton Hospital in Rochester, MI. She worked primarily in the Intensive Care Unit. In 1977 Sue gave birth to Phillip who was her only child. Sue continued her education by attending University of Michigan. In 1989 she graduated “Summa Cum Laude” Bachelor of Science In Nursing. In 1990, Sue became a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, University of Michigan chapter. Sue continued working at Crittenton Hospital where she later assumed the position of Charge Nurse of the Intensive Care Unit. In 1999, Sue started working for UnaSource Surgery Center in Troy, MI. Sue continued working at UnaSource until retiring in 2019 to care for her terminally ill son Phillip. Unfortunately Phillip lost his fight with cancer in 2021. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory to the charity of your choice. Sue is survived by her brothers Mark, Larry, and Jeffery (Goyette) She was preceded in death by her son Phillip. Sue loved her two rescue cats Izzy and Bella. She also liked to travel to Mexico and cruises to various Caribbean destination's. Private arrangements were entrusted to Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek.
