Talmadge Lee Kemp began her time on this earth in White Rock, Texas, on November 17, 1929 born to the parentage of Henry Orr and Edna Smith and departed this life on July 29, 2025 joining the Lord's Caravan waving hello to her heavenly family and she waved goodbye to those she left behind, reminding them someday we will be together again. She attended Whiterock and Fred Douglas Public Schools.

Talmadge, affectionately known as mama, mom, Miss T, Granny, Grandmother, Miss Tam, sis, and granny Kemp, among other terms of endearment, was a dedicated Christian who spoke daily about God's grace and mercy. Throughout her life, she held a variety of positions, including at Levi Strauss and TI, where she dedicated herself over 25 years before retiring.

She had been a dedicated member of both Whitewright Missionary Baptist Church and Progressive Missionary Baptist Church for many years until her health started to decline. She served as a Missionary teacher, Mentor to the young folks and always ready to serve in whatever capacity she was needed. She had a passion for cooking and enjoyed sharing her culinary creations, including her renowned chicken and dressing, peach cobbler, and lemon pies.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Eddie Orr (Butter) and Joe Hardis Orr, Freddie B. Orr Sr.; and sister, Lettie Orr Scruggs.

Left to celebrate the legacy she left: Thelma Gabriel (Wallace), Magalene Kirvin (Bill), Eva Murphy, Vanessa Blanton, Arnez Kemp, Link Kemp (Lorena) Todd Kemp (Debroa) Jerrith Kemp

Grand-children: Brian, Carl, Donnie, Sandy, Rhonda, James, Domonik, Letresha, Marcus, Laquita, Chazdon, Bianca, Talmadge, Christopher, Jermiric, Jerithe, DeAndre, Zyron, Keylee, Eva, Lettie, King, 42 Great Grandchildren, 20 Great-Great Grandchildren, and a village of nieces, nephews, cousins, bonus children, many friends and neighbors.
