Teresa Headley Obituary

Teresa Lynn "Terri" Headley, 67, of Germantown Hills, IL, passed away at 1:34 pm on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.
She was born on June 10, 1957, in Peoria, IL, to James M. and Laura H. (Childress) Conroy. Terri and Mark E. Headley first met on February 6, 2005 and was then married on October 7, 2006 in Groveland, IL.
Surviving are her husband, Mark of Germantown Hills; sons, Dan (Laura) Murphy of Knoxville, TN and Joe Murphy of Washington, IL; step-daughter, Tasha Murphy of Morton, IL; siblings, Kim (Deb) Conroy of Atlanta, GA, Kelly O'Flaherty of Morton, IL, Linda (Scott) Johnstone of East Peoria, IL, Michael (Samantha) Conroy of Metamora, IL, and Steven Conroy of Washington, IL; step-siblings, Lynn (Dan) Selke of East Peoria, IL, Scott Dewey of Glen Carbon, IL, Jon (Tamara) Dewey of Peoria, IL, and Ann (Ralph) Early of Monticello, IN; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and step-father Melvin Dewey.
Terri graduated from Bergan High School in 1975 and Western Illinois University in 1979. She was an Economic, Math, and Business teacher, beginning her teaching career at Bergan High School, then Jacksonville High School, Sparland High School and Illinois Central College.
She was a good artist who enjoyed drawing, playing the piano, and gardening. Terri was a caring and beautiful soul who loved children. She loved Halloween and Christmas. Her biggest joy was being around kids and family.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Grace Presbyterian Church, 8607 Route 91, Peoria, IL.
