Terry W. Cox, 69, North Manchester, passed away on July 21, 2025. Born on August 31, 1955, in Kokomo, Indiana, to Ronnie and Trula (Welch) Cox, Terry lived a life full of joy, hunting, and cherished moments with family.
Terry attended Southwood High School and after, he dedicated eighteen years to Singer Controls before transitioning to Ford Meter Box in 1994, where he continued to work until his retirement in 2021. While at Singer Controls, Terry was a member of the UAW.
On September 28, 1990, Terry married Loretta Thomas. Terry cherished his time spent with family, creating memories that will remain in their hearts forever. In his earlier years, Terry had a passion for the outdoors, frequently engaging in squirrel and rabbit hunting. As time progressed, he developed a deep love for deer hunting, rarely missing an opening day of the season. He took pride in mentoring younger hunters, imparting knowledge about hunting and safety, thus passing on his love for the sport to future generations. He had the remarkable ability to find the sunshine in the clouds, bringing joy and comfort wherever he went. Terry's smile could light up a room, embodying a caring nature. In his younger days, Terry was a member of Moose Lodge 1518 in North Manchester.
The loving memory of Terry Cox will be forever cherished by his mother, Trula Cox, Wabash; wife, Loretta Cox, North Manchester; children, Misty (Bill) Preston, Marion, Ohio, Sean (Millissa) Cox, Peru, Karie (Michael) Bruder, North Manchester, and Jeremy (Mellissa) Cox, Wabash; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Randy (Patty) Cox, Carrollton, Georgia; sisters, Hilda (James) Fannin, Wabash and Rhonda (Jeffrey) Duhamell, Wabash; and several nieces and nephews. Terry was preceded in death by his father, Ronnie Cox; and grandson, Dominick Gill.
Family and friends may call Tuesday, July 29, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at McKee Mortuary, 1401 State Road 114 West, North Manchester. Funeral services will begin at the conclusion of calling with Pastor J.P. Freeman officiating. Burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Servia, Indiana.
