Terry was the greatest man I ever knew. He came into my life when I was 4 years old. He was only 17 years old at the time and he became my stepdad when he was 18. Terry was my dad to me, he raised me and did all the things a dad was supposed to do. Not many 18 year old guys will step in and raise a 5 year old stepchild but he did. I was constantly attached to his hip and wanted to go everywhere with him. He would have to sneak out of the house to go to work when he worked at the saw mill on Jonathan Creek because I would start crying wanting to go with him. I have a picture of him holding me on his hip the day he married my mother, he had to hold me the entire time so they could quietly do the ceremony. I was 23 years old when they separated but I always made sure I saw him on Friday nights when he would go out dancing, he loved to dance. He was the perfect girl dad and me and my sister Melody were the luckiest girls in the world to have such a great man raise us, teach us right from wrong and show us exactly how to be a good person as we followed his lead. He is the only person I know that I have never heard anyone say a bad thing about. He always left a positive mark in the lives of people he came across. He was a simple and humble man that was always ready to help those in need. When he introduced me to Annette he was so happy and I was happy for him. I had so much fun watching him and Annette dance and cut up many years ago on Friday nights. When my sister called me the morning of his passing, I was so heartbroken, he was the best parent figure I had growing up. He is now dancing above the clouds with the angels.
