Thanh Van Vu, a cherished husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2025, at his home in Rowlett, Texas. Born on January 15, 1951, in the beautiful coastal city of Nha Trang, Vietnam, Thanh's journey was one marked by resilience, love, and an unwavering commitment to his family and community.

Thanh's early life in Vietnam laid the foundation for his strong character and work ethic. His pursuit of knowledge led him to earn a bachelor's degree in engineering, a field where he would excel for many years. As an electronic engineer, Thanh was not only recognized for his technical expertise but also for his leadership and mentorship. His colleagues revered him as a great leader who guided with kindness and wisdom.

In his personal life, Thanh was the epitome of a family man. He was a devoted husband to his loving wife, Linh Tran, and a proud father to his children, Royce and Theodore Vu. His brother, Vinh Tran, also held a special place in his heart along with numerous family members overseas. Thanh's love for his family was the cornerstone of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Thanh's interests were as diverse as they were passionate. An avid reader, he found solace and adventure within the pages of books. His love for travel took him to many corners of the world, capturing moments through his lens as an enthusiastic photographer. These experiences not only broadened his horizons but also enriched the lives of those around him as he shared his stories and insights.

A man of faith, Thanh was a dedicated member of St. Peter Vietnamese Church, where he served and found spiritual solace. His involvement in the church was a testament to his kind and loving nature, always seeking to contribute positively to the lives of others.

Those who knew Thanh will remember him for his loving and kind demeanor. He approached life with a gentle strength that drew people to him. His legacy is one of compassion, integrity, and the enduring love he had for his family and friends.
