Thelma is survived by her sons, Dale (Kim) Wiscaver, Tim (Pam) Wiscaver, Carl Wiscaver, Ricky (Brenda) Wiscaver, and her honorary son, Joseph Smith; daughters, Jacqueline Combs and MaLinda Smith; brother, Bernard Barrett and Bethany Stires; several grandchildren, great, and great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, Royyoki.
Thelma is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Barnes; daughter, Elizabeth Ann Wiscaver; brothers, William J. Barrett and Harry Barrett; sisters, Gloreatta Mitchell and Mary Thigpen.
Services for Thelma will take place at 1 PM EST on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg, IN with visitation from 11 AM EST until service time. Pastor David Payne will be officiating and burial will follow at Williams Cemetery near Arthur, IN. Harris Funeral Home is entrusted with care.
