Minerva- Thelma Jean Kirk 73, passed away Monday June 30, 2025, at Meadowview Regional Medical Center.
Thelma was born June 3,1952 in Minerva, Ky. She was the daughter of the late Issac and Oma Conley,
She was married to Charles {Charlie} Kirk for 55 years. Thelma was employed at TRW for ten years, worked as a cook at Mason County School for four years and was a cook for Bess's grocery store for two years. She was a farmer/homemaker for thirty years and a devoted Christian of Mays Lick Baptist church for sixty-seven years.
She was a loving grandmother to Olivia and Minnie Kirk. They were her pride and joy. Thelma loved to cook and to Feed everyone. She Loved going on vacation to Tennessee with her family and friends.
In addition to her husband, Charlie, she is survived by one son Charles Kirk Jr. (Heather Gilbert), 4 grandchildren, Minnie Kirk; Olivia Kirk, (Chase Trent), Jaylen (Katelynn) Tolle and Carson Barbour.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Isaac Jefferson Conley, Mother Oma Bryant Conley. and by sisters, Maudie Vaughn, Hattie Conley, Lula Davis, Minnie Pearl, Shirley Ann Conley, Ramona Riggs and brothers, Clyde Conley, Bobby Conley and Henry Conley.
Services for Thelma Kirk will be held at Mays Lick Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday July 2, 2025, with Rev. Aaron Cude officiating. Burial will follow in Mays Lick Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the church.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Kirk, Freddy Riggs, Robert Conley, Randy Kirk, Timothy Gilbert, Roy Kirk, Roy Riggs. Honorary Pallbearers are Mary Miller, Carol May, Shirley Hinton.
