Bobby Joe proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He enlisted on August 9, 1966, and rose to the rank of Corporal during his four years of service. A Vietnam veteran, he was awarded the National Defense Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Vietnam Service Medal, Presidential Unit Citation, and the Purple Heart Medal in recognition of his courage and sacrifice.
On July 20, 1969, in National City, he married the love of his life, Sandra. Together they shared 56 wonderful years of marriage, building a family and life rooted in devotion and love.
He is survived by his two children, six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, his mom, 4 sisters, and one brother, all of whom were his greatest joy.
Bobby Joe loved to travel, spend quiet mornings fishing, and read murder mystery novels. His humor, kindness, and steadfast spirit will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
His legacy of service, love of family, and zest for life will continue to inspire all who knew him.
