Thomas "Tom" Bukovec ObituaryThomas "Tom" Bukovec, age 67, of Willoughby, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, July 17, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born March 3, 1958, in Cleveland, Ohio, Tom previously lived in Eastlake and Euclid before settling in Willoughby.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 25 at 11:00 AM at St. Justin Martyr Church, 35781 Stevens Blvd., Eastlake, OH, with Father Joshua J. Cochrac officiating.
Tom was the beloved husband of Colleen Bukovec (née Davison), with whom he shared 45 wonderful years of marriage. Their life together was a testament to enduring love, mutual respect, and unwavering support-a partnership that weathered life's storms and celebrated its joys, always hand in hand.
He was the deeply devoted father of Heather (Keith) Brady, Bryan Bukovec, Amanda (Jon) Smith, and Eric (Nikki) Bukovec, and the proud "Poppo" to his treasured grandchildren: Jacob, Joshua, and JJ Brady; Lana, Mika, and Chase Smith; and Emerson and Eliza Bukovec, who brought endless joy to his life.
He was the loving brother of Sue Grubach and Mark (Janet) Bukovec, and brother-in-law to Kathy (Richard) Widner, Mary Beth Davison, Maureen Miller, and Jeaneen Davison. Tom was also a cherished uncle and great-uncle to many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Katherine Bukovec (née Scoville); his brother, Rick Bukovec; his in-laws Don and Theresa Davison and his brother-in-law, Dan Davison.
Tom was a man of deep loyalty, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to his family. For over 50 years, he worked tirelessly in the family business, Rudy's Quality Meats, where he poured his heart into every day, honoring the legacy of his father and earning the respect of all who knew him.
A true Cleveland sports fan, Tom was a longtime season ticket holder for the Cleveland Browns-standing by his team even through the toughest of seasons. He loved playing golf with his buddies, taking trips to Las Vegas, trying his luck at the casino, and playing the lottery with hope and a grin.
But above all, Tom loved being with his family. He was a father who showed up-always present, always supportive. He cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren, finding joy in their laughter and wonder in their eyes. His quiet presence brought calm, and his love was steady, strong, and unconditional.
Family and friends may call on Thursday, July 24 from 3:00 – 8:00 PM at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center Street, Mentor, OH (N. of Rt. 2 on Rt. 615).
Tom's legacy is one of devotion, hard work, and deep family love-a life well-lived and well-loved. He will be missed beyond measure.

So very sorry to hear about Tom passing. He was such a kind, caring person and always spoke with love for his family. Never heard an unkind word from him. I am sure Rudy and Kay were waiting at the gates of Gods Kingdom to greet him.

The Skolmowski family is very sorry to hear of this loss. Tom was a great dad, very funny, and very caring. The Bukovec family was a second family to me growing up, and I am very sorry to hear of Tom's passing. Wishing the family peace, strength, and love during this difficult time. Tom was one of a kind, and will truly be missed by all who knew him.

I wish Colleen and the entire family pease and strength in the days ahead. ALL of your memories will keep you strong as you continue on. Tom was a great neighbor and friend to the "old" Pinehurst residents, may God bless you all.
