Tom Dinsdale, 83 of Blairsburg, died Sunday, July 6, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family. Private family services will be held at a later date. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is entrusted with caring for Tom and family.
Thomas Dean Dinsdale, son of Clair and Naomi Barkema Dinsdale, was born November 27, 1941 in Fort Dodge. He attended country school and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1959. On March 9, 1963, Tom was united in marriage to Brenda Perrine in Mason City. He was a longtime farmer in the Stonega Community where he was active board member of the United Cooperative and Farm Bureau. Tom enjoyed hunting, woodworking, collecting books and many other things.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Brenda; daughters, Christina (Mike) Throntveit of Eagle Grove, Kimberly (Brad) Park of Webster City, Stephanie Dinsdale of Blairsburg; grandchildren, Thomas (Ashley) Throntveit, Timothy (Gabbi) Throntveit, Kaitlin Best, Kelli Best, Cole (Joycelin) Elsberry, Courtney Elsberry, Cassie Elsberry; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, Patricia Dinsdale of Webster City, Ronald (Susan) Dinsdale of Huxley, Marcia (Ron) Casbon of Webster City, Mike (Joanne) Dinsdale of Richardson, TX and many extended family members.
Tom was preceded in death by son, Timothy Dinsdale and his parents.
