Thomas Charles Hazen (1947-2025)

Tom C. Hazen passed away July 13, 2025 at the age of 78 years old in Burlington, Vermont. He died peacefully in his sleep.

Tom grew up in North Hero, VT. He married Pam Mayo in 1978. They lived for many years on Platt Street in Winooski. Eventually, they went their separate ways.

It would be an oversight to not mention that Tom lived in the Caribbean for a handful of years as well. Tom always looked back on this time with fondness. Over the last several years, Tom moved back to North Hero to care for his mother, Helena Brown, until her passing.

Tom's passions included carpentry and woodworking. You could always find him working with some kind of wood, building something for someone.

He loved family and actively participated in all the family's milestones and celebrations. Tom was always there for us. Tom had a kindred spirit and was very kindhearted. He will be missed by anyone who knew him and will always be remembered in our hearts.

His surviving family members include his two siblings, Linda Hazen of Colchester, VT and Holland Hazen of Milton, VT. He was predeceased by his parents, Helena Hazen and Holland Hazen.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 24, from 5pm to 7pm at LaVigne Funeral & Cremation Service, 132 Main St., Winooski.
