Thomas Hintz Obituary

Tom was born on April 3, 1958, in Wausau, the son of Lyle and Amaryllis Hintz. He served in the United States Army from 1976-1979.
Tom graduated from Antigo High School in 1976, followed by serving in the military. He then attended what he liked to call, 'The College of Life.' He worked on fishing boats in Alaska and in shipyards in Marinette over the years, but he was always a farmer at heart, whether it be dairy farming or potato farming. Tom could fix and do anything; he was very gifted. He loved gardening and taking care of his chickens. Tom's main goal in life was to have fun and he enjoyed every minute of it.
Tom is survived by his wife, Cathy; four children, Sarah (Ronald Weller Jr.) Hearn, Jeffrey (Elizabeth Walter) Sickinger, Trevor (Christine) Schroder and Cody (Cassie) Schroder; 14 grandchildren, Hunter, Harley (Alexis), Molly, Mikey, Ronnie (Mikayla), Evan, Andrea, Zavier, Charlee, Oliver, Marley, Ellie, Bently and Silas; one great grandchild, Isabella; two brothers, Tim (Lonna Grosskopf) Hintz and Todd (Heidi Schultz) Hintz; niece, Carley Hintz; nephew, Nash Hintz; mother-in-law, Sandy Drews; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lori (Steve) Thompson, Mike Drews, Tom (Jodi) Drews, Scott (Tonja) Schroder and Kurt (Lori) Schroder, as well as other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Hogarty Community Church, Hogarty. Rev. Dan MacDonald will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Hogarty, with military honors being conducted by Darling-Gunderson American Legion Post #341. Visitation will be on Tuesday, from 4:30-7:30 PM at Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Birnamwood, and again on Wednesday, from 10 AM until the time of service at the church.
