Thomas Vidrine, Jr. a resident of Bayou Chicot passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at the age of 73. Thomas was born on Friday, October 5, 1951, in Lafayette, Louisiana and was known for his hard-working nature and was a loving provider for his family. He carved a respected career in the offshore industry, where he worked diligently both as a driller and as a cook.
Thomas took great joy in life outside of his career, enjoying hobbies such as hunting and fishing. He cherished the moments spent in nature and shared countless memories with family and friends during these outings.
Thomas is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Betty Brown Vidrine; his sons, Thomas Edison Vidrine of Bayou Chicot and Jamie Lee Vidrine (Sherry) of Ville Platte; his daughters, Jessica Vidrine (Sterling) of Bayou Chicot, Joann Vidrine, and Peggie Vidrine. Thomas was also a proud grandfather to two grandchildren, Maci and Carson Vidrine, and was a great-grandfather to two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Eddison Vidrine, Sr. and Ivenail Frankus Vidrine.
A visitation to celebrate his life will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Ardoin's Funeral Home in Ville Platte.
Thomas Vidrine, Jr. will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family and friends, and his legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
