Timothy E. Derry 62 passed away peacefully 4/18/2025 with his lifelong best friend Mike at his bedside. Born 10/12/1962 to Beverly Gerard and the late John Derry. Tim was raised by his mother and "Dad" Bob Gerard. He was a lifelong resident of Galva Il and took great pride in the "little city of go."
Tim was a free spirit and an avid lover of everything, Harley Davidson. It was that hobby that brought him and his late sister Debbie to be so close in life. They traveled together to many rallies and bike events.
Tim was the Rock when his sister Debbie passed and was instrumental In true Tim and Debbie fashion he took a portion of her ashes and released them from the mountain tops during the 2002 Sturgess Motorcycle Rally. His Niece will be returning that favor and releasing Tim in the same location so they can be together forever in Life and Death! The free spirits they always were.
Tim was proceeded in death by his Birth father John Derry, his "Dad" Bob Gerard a brother John Derry Jr., a stepbrother Bruce Gerard and 2 sisters, Debra Ann Derry and Patricia Lynn Derry.
Tim is survived by his mother Beverly Gerard. Son Keegan Wigant (His pride and joy). Brother Ray Derry. Stepbrothers Donnie and Kevin Gerard. Nieces Sasha, Veronica, Nichole and Kim. Nephews Zachary and Nathan. Multiple Great Nieces and Nephews and 1 Grand Niece and 3 Grand Nephew. Tim is also survived by several half siblings, Sarah, Larry, Chris, Sheree, & Jo.
The family would like to thank Hospice Compassus and the nurses at Royal Oaks Care Center (Avenues of Royal Oak) for the most wonderful care and compassion to TIM and his family during his last days.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to Beverly Gerard or Sasha Wilson to help cover the cost of cremation.
A celebration of life will be held later.
