Tommy Lee Cox was born November 8, 1959 in Selmer, TN, the son of the late Thomas Cox and Christine Jewel Johnson Cox. He departed this life on August 4, 2025 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 65 Years, 8 Months, 27 Days.
A devoted member of His Church in Selmer, Tommy embodied the spirit of community and fellowship. His faith was evident in the kindness he extended to all those around him.
Throughout his life, Tommy dedicated himself to the automotive industry, where he not only excelled professionally but also formed lasting connections. His passions extended beyond work; he found joy in the thrill of races and camping, often surrounded by friends and family. Known for his candidness, Tommy had a remarkable ability to express thoughts honestly, whether the news was good or bad, yet he always managed to do so with a love.
He is survived by a son, Kevin Cox (Chrissy); a grandchild, Skyler Lee Cox; two great grandchildren, Ryker and Hudson; stepson, Shawn Story; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Cox was preceded in death by two brothers, Jamie Cox and wife Linda Kay, and James Neal Allison; step father, Allie Wenford Allison; companion, Teresa Story.
