Tony Leroy Bryan, 70, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 30, 2024 in Madrid, IA. He was born November 11, 1954 in Mount Ayr, IA to Wallace and Carol (Werner) Bryan.
Tony graduated from Davenport West High School and later met Laurie Magnani, they were married on July 14, 1973 and to that union six children were born.
Tony was known as the "Floor Guy" for his floor installation business. Prior to that he was an equipment operator on large projects such as the Saylorville Dam and I-380. In his youth he was an Eagle Scout and active in 4H. He enjoyed coaching all the kids sports and never missed one of their events. Tony loved going to his grandchildren's sporting and music events and spending time with family. He was an avid supporter of the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Madrid Tigers.
Tony is survived by his loving wife, Laurie of 51 years; children, Eric (Sarah) Bryan, Brandy (Josh) Baxter, Troy (Brenna) Bryan, Megan (Blake) Munson and Marc Bryan; 11 Grandchildren, Ellie, Evan and Kate Bryan, Kaden, Camdyn and Emily Baxter, Tate and Madden Bryan, Bowen, Landen and Iylee Munson; siblings, Chris (Viji) Bryan, Penny Estrada, Mike (Dora) Bryan, Deanna Bryan, and Greg Bryan and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his son, Kyle; his parents, Wallace and Carol; and brother Terry.
Visitation will be 5-7 PM Friday, January 3, 2025 at Iles Sundberg-Kirkpatrick Chapel, Madrid with funeral service at 10 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in Hillsdale Cemetery, Madrid.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Madrid Booster Club.
