Tracey Dow Satterfield, age 67, of Athens, Georgia, passed away on October 16, 2025, surrounded by family.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Stan Satterfield, and their beloved children: Stephanie Ordon and her husband Bobby, Alyson White and her husband Micah, Rebecca Epstein and her husband Dan, Brett Satterfield and his wife Jessica, and Preston Satterfield and his wife Ansley. Tracey and Stan were blessed with ten cherished grandchildren who brought endless joy to their lives- Ada, Archie, Saige, Lawton, Webb, Theyx, Grayson, Gabrielle, Holden and Zinnia.
Tracey was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother whose love and generosity touched everyone she met. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, tending to her garden, and serving her church community at Mars Hill Baptist Church. She also gave much of her time to the Athens Pregnancy Center. She was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan, and also coached her daughter’s teams in Little League softball. Tracey had a special love for all of God’s creatures, big and small, and was known for rescuing animals in need. Her laughter could fill any room, and her kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
A service to celebrate Tracey’s life will be held at Mars Hill Baptist Church on Friday, October 24th at 3:00 p.m., followed by a reception where friends and loved ones may gather with her family. There will be a graveside service at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery on Saturday, October 25th at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, Tracey would want all gifts to be donated to Mars Hill Baptist Church or Mercy Health Center in her memory.
