Tyrone Griffen Obituary

Mr. Tyrone Lamarr Griffin, 33, of Peoria, IL, passed away at 10:17 pm on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center surrounded by his family.
Tyrone was born on May 29, 1991, in Chicago, IL to biological parents, Cordie Dukes and Delaware Dawkins and raised by his adoptive mother, Diane (Faulkner) Griffin.
Tyrone last worked at Culvers Restaurant. He had a beautiful spirited personality. He loved to dance and entertain people. He never met a stranger. Tyrone loved his R&B music. He also enjoyed cooking for his friends and family.
Tyrone leaves to cherish his most precious memory, his adoptive mother, Diane Griffin of Peoria, IL; six brothers, Delvin (Niecy) Owens, Charles (Tiffany) Owens, Christopher Owens, Anthony Griffin and Christopher Grant all of Peoria, IL and Erick Dukes of Bloomington, IL; three sisters, Charita (Issac) Clark of Las Vegas, NV, Michelle Jefferson and Pamela Jefferson both of Memphis, TN; his niece that was raised as a sister with him, London Rutledge; and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends who loved him. He is preceded in death by his biological parents and a step-sister, Conswaylen Schrader.
