It is with a heavy heart we announce that Valentin Flores beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather a resident of Raymondville Tx., passed away on July 9, 2025, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville, at the age of 92.
He was born on May 21, 1933, to Macario Flores and Manuela (Garza) Flores in Harlingen, who precede him in death, along with his wife Estela (Caballero) Flores, and son Juan Salvador Flores.
Valentin spent most of his life working as a farmer and enjoyed the ranch life working cattle and raising horses. He Married Estela Caballero Flores in early 1957 and had their first-born son Juan Salvador Flores, and then their second son Ruben Omar Flores.
Valentin was known by many as "Apa" weather family or not and he was loved by many for the kindhearted, generous character he was. Apa helped raise Jose & Luis Villarreal his nephews for a good part of their life. He was a great man with a big heart. He will surely be missed by all his family/ friends and forever remembered. We thank God for the number of years he blessed him with.
Apa is survived by his son Ruben Omar Flores and his wife Gina Flores and their children Annalisa and Ruben James Flores and great granddaughters Layla, Olivia and Sophia,
Grandson Jonathan Flores which he lived with for 28 years and granddaughter in-law Pamela Marie Garcia along with his great grandchildren Julie and Ricky. Apa is also survived by Jose and Ody Villarreal along with children Chasity, Cassity, and Hunter.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Duddlesten Funeral Home, Raymondville, TX.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday July 14, 2025, at Duddlesten funeral home with Deacon Catarino Villanueva officiating. Interment will follow to the Raymondville Memorial Cemetery.
