Valentina Cordova Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Valentina Maria Cordova of Washington, DC on July 8, 2025. She was born on July 22, 1995, at U.S Army Base Fort Bragg, North Carolina to Antonio and Michelle Cordova. She graduated from Wake Forest-Rolesville High School in 2013 and received her bachelor's degree in 2017 from Catholic University of America. She went on to work in the field of business licensing and compliance. She was known for her infectious laugh & beautiful smile, her generous spirit, her love for animals - especially her cat, Lennon and dog, Zeus. She had a passion for traveling the world and enjoyed discovering secondhand treasures. She was known for creativity, love of art, music, and dancing. She was a strong advocate for immigration & justice reform. She never shied from a good debate on any topic, which she often won due to her fervor and tenacity. Her fierce love & loyalty for her family/friends is unmatched. Her kind soul and memories will continue to live within and inspire all those who met and knew her.
Valentina (aka Tina, La Princesa) is survived by Michael Cronauer (partner), Michelle Cordova (mother), Antonio Sr. & Mercedes Cordova (father and stepmother), Antonio, Jr. & Sharon (brother and partner), Christian Cordova (brother), many aunts, uncles, cousins, and her chosen family.
All are cordially invited to Valentina's Funeral Mass at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 940 Carmichael Street, Chapel Hill, North Carolina 27514 on July 18, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. The internment will immediately follow the Mass. A Celebration of Life/Doble Quinceañera will be held on July 19, 2025 at 6:00 p.m at Knights of Columbus, 4301 Columbus Club Dr, Raleigh, NC 27604. A second Celebration of Life will be held on July 26, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Baltimore/Washington area.
