Valerie Jean “Jeanie” Ward, age 63, wife of Claude Douglas Ward, passed away, Saturday, July 5, 2025 at her daughter’s home.
She was born on June 29, 1962 in Clinton, South Carolina and was the daughter of James Edward Gregory and Molly Randolph Gregory.
Jeanie is survived by her husband of 21 years; her son, Randy Canfield; her daughters, Heather Gregory, Ericka Canfield, Christie Corley (Richard); her step-son, Jason Ward; her step-daughter, Hope Ward; her brother, Jimmy Gregory (Donna); her grandchildren, JC Gregory, Catie Dunaway, Gabe Dunaway, Jayden Curry, Eli Eubanks, Derek Canfield, Carson Canfield, Suzanna Canfield, Thomas Ward, Dillon Ward, Tinsley Alexander, Grayson Sherfield, Haven Pressley and her eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings Eddie Gregory and Janie Honeycutt.
