Velma Jane Boss, age 89, passed away on July 15, 2025. She was born on April 11, 1936 in Stone Creek, Ohio to the late Delbert and Bonnie Sauser. Velma was a member of Copley United Church of Christ and worked in their nursery for many years. Her and her husband, Norman, owned a farm in Copley and she loved to garden. They wintered in Ruskin, Florida for many years where they enjoyed the social activities of their RV park.
Preceded in death by her husband, Norman; twin sister, Thelma Davis; and brothers Richard and Donald Sauser; she is survived by her son, Richard (Denise) Boss; step grandchildren, Kyle (Sarah) Lewis and Tyler (Taren) Lewis; 3 step great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 11:00am Friday, July 18, 2025 at Hummel Funeral Home, 3475 Copley Rd. Copley, Ohio, where calling hours will be 10am-11am. Private Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Copley Outreach Center 1502 S. Cleveland Massillon Rd, Copley, Ohio 44321.
