Vickie S. Dowdy, 63, of Marshall, NC, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025.

She was born on February 25, 1962, in Cameron, Texas, to Doyle Wayne Ball and Mary Katherine Fields.

Vickie was a steady, caring presence in the lives of those around her. She was dependable, thoughtful, and down-to-earth. She found peace in life's simple routines, especially enjoying a quiet cup of coffee, often shared with someone she loved.

Above all, Vickie was deeply devoted to her family. As a wife and mother, she brought warmth, stability, and quiet strength to their lives. Her greatest joy came from caring for those she loved, especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

She is survived by her loving husband of many years, Roger Dowdy; their daughter, Lisa Tuck, and her husband, Dustin Tuck; two cherished grandchildren, Ellie Kate Tuck and Andrew Denver Tuck; her sister-in-law, Donna Bissonnette; her nephew, Daniel Dowdy, and his partner, Krista White; and her beloved niece, Dana Dowdy, and Dana's partner, Matt Weston.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Dry Pond Cemetery.

Though she is no longer with us in body, Vickie's legacy will continue through the people she loved and cared for.

Condolences can be made to the family online at www. MadisonFH.com.
