Vickie Lynn Huff, age 70 of Wayland, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025 at Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, Kentucky. She was born September 13, 1954 in San Francisco, California to the late James Gordon Prater & Audrey Shepherd Prater. She is survived by her Sons: Earl Huff of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, Jerry Chaffins of Garner, Kentucky, Jeremiah Chaffins of Wayland, Kentucky, Gregory Phillip Chaffins of Wayland, Kentucky, Adam Chaffins of Harlan, Kentucky & Jason Chaffins of Knott County, Kentucky; Grandchildren: Zachary, Jerry Lee, Joanna, Kayla, Evelyn, Clay, Chloe & Aiden; A Host of Great Grandchildren; Brothers & Sisters: Greg Prater of South Carolina, Michael Davis of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, James Prater of Salt Lick, Kentucky, Don Prater of Ohio, Pamela Prater of Arkansas, Barbara Wilson of Prestonsburg, Kentucky & Rebecca Collins of Prestonsburg, Kentucky; A Host of Nieces, Nephews, Family & Friends. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her Sisters: Sandra Prater & Eliza Helen Thomas. She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Visitation will begin Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at 6pm at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky with funeral services to be held Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 1pm at the funeral home with Dolvin Ratliff officiating
Burial will follow at Shepherd Cemetery, Salt Lick, Hueysville, Kentucky
