Violet V. Hosler, 101, of Chillicothe, Ohio passed away peacefully on August 16th, 2025 at Hopewell Grove Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
She was born on June 4th, 1924 on S. Woodbridge Ave in a small home that is no longer standing. She was the daughter of Lottie May (Adams) and George Rinehart.
On December 6th, 1949, she married William Russell Hosler who passed away on November 11th, 1999.
She is survived by her sons, William (Shannon) Russell Hosler Jr. and Randy Dean Hosler, along with 8 grandchildren; Elizabeth (Jason) Blevins, Jeremy (Nikki) Schobeloch, Janyel (Scott) Welsh, Ricky Hosler, Ryan (Katie) Hosler, and Robbie Hosler. Her 13 great-grandchildren include; Breaunna, Brooke, JD, Scott, Trey, Emma, Josh, Raymond, Austin, Tayler, Colton, Xavier, Tristan, and 8 great-great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
Violet was affectionately known as “Granny” and will be remembered for her sweet tooth, her kindness, and love for her family. She retired from Jerry’s Pizza on Paint St in the 1990’s.
She is preceded in death by her siblings, twin sister Viola, sister Mable, brothers Herbert and Wilbert, and two grandchildren, Russell Thomas Hosler and Kimberly V. Leeson. Her family finds comfort in knowing that she is reunited with her husband, parents, and siblings.
A private family celebration of her life will be held in her honor.
