Greer, SC -- Virginia "Jenny" Marie Allen, age 83, passed away on July 8, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Faye Allen.
A devoted member of the Church of God in Mississippi, Jenny dedicated her life to serving both her faith and her community. She was a beloved counselor and anointed minister; known for her powerful teaching of the Bible and her deep commitment to ministry. Her heart and soul were fully devoted to sharing God's word, and her impact reached many through her wisdom and compassion. Jenny's love for music was another gift she shared generously. A talented guitar player with a beautiful voice, she often led worship through singing and playing in church, blessing countless hearts with her musical praise. Outside of her ministry, Jenny had a successful career in property management, where she was respected for her integrity and diligence. But it was her faith, service, and unwavering love for the Lord that truly defined her life. She will be deeply missed by all who were touched by her presence, her teachings, and her song.
She is survived by her siblings, Ted Allen (Lisa) and Nancy Campbell; her nieces and nephews, Tosha Allen, Josh Allen (Erica), Jason Allen (Ingrid), Lisa Axley (Steve), Adam Allen (Greta), Jamie Brown (Ashley) and Stephen Allen (Jeannie); and her best friend of 50 years, Tina Stephenson.
Jenny is preceded in death by her siblings, Bill Allen and Danny Allen; and her niece, Marcia Frick.
