Virginia Louise Oaks, 85, of Jonesville, Va. passed away Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tn. For many that loved her we called her Weesie!
She was born August 17, 1939 to the late Lon and Dollie Muncy Crumley. She was a member of Beach Grove Baptist Church. If you were blessed to have a conversation with her you have been witnessed to. She never failed to share her testimony and her love for her Lord and Savior.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by twin brother, Gene Crumley and other brothers, TJ, Ed, and James Crumley; and her sister, Floria Garrett.
Surviving is her husband of 47 years, Jerry Oaks; her daughter, Teresa (Randy) Livesay Floyd; her stepsons, Gary (Regina) Oaks and David Oaks; step daughter, Teresa (Tim Osborne) Oaks; grandchildren, Shelley (Jordan) Floyd Benson, Adam (Brittany) Oaks, Noah (Daisy) Oaks, and Alex (Cara Isern) Oaks, Madison Davis, Canaan Oaks, Nick Oaks, Whitney Gilley, Nicholas (Tiffany) Wayne Oaks, Jordan Reynolds, Trevor Reynolds, and Lacy Reynolds; 11 great grandchildren known as her babies; two brothers, Johnny (Shirley Hammonds) Crumley, and Homer (Bonnie Shaver) Crumley; three loving sisters, Kay Crumley, Irma Creech, and Emma Miles; along with several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, July 7, 2025 at Lee Memorial Gardens with Pastor Josh Leonard officiating. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:50 PM.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Nancy Garrett for her love and care of Weesie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Judes in Virginia's memory.
