Age 89, of Magnolia, passed away Sat., June 28, 2025. He was born Dec. 15, 1935, in Canton, a son of the late Walter and Zelma (Maurer) Petrime, Sr. Walter was a 1953 graduate of Magnolia High School, served with the U.S. Army for six years, including serving in the Pentagon, and retired in 2000 from Whitacre Engineering and Teamsters Local #92 where he was a truck driver. He was a member of Carroll Lodge #124, F.&A.M. in Carrollton, A.A.S.R., Valley of Canton, Carrollton Ruritan Club, Isaac L. Kinney American Legion #244 in East Sparta. Preceded in death by his wife, Malinda Petrime, his son, Michael Petrime, and two brothers, Joseph and Wilbur Petrime. Survived by his daughter, Terry (Dennis) Hostetler; two grandchildren, Rachel Petrime and Michael Paul Petrime; his niece, Carol (Dan) Petrime; and his great niece, Amy Petrime.
