Walter "Wally" James Seymour, passed away peacefully on the 3rd of July 2025, at the age of 75. Born on March 10th, 1950, to Walter Charles and Helen Mary (Upson) Seymour in Detroit, Michigan, Wally was a man whose presence was a source of unwavering strength and joy to those around him.
Wally's early life in Detroit shaped a man who was not only hardworking but also deeply committed to his community. After a long and dedicated career, Wally retired from the Ford Motor Company.
Wally's interests were a reflection of his love for life and the world around him. He found joy in the simple pleasures of working on classic cars, a nod to his Detroit roots and his career in the automotive industry. Boating was another of Wally's passions, a hobby that allowed him to embrace the tranquility of the water and share memorable moments with friends and family.
Those who knew Wally would describe him as loving, thoughtful, and passionate. He approached every aspect of his life with a warm heart and a generous spirit. His legacy is carried on by his beloved daughter, Kelly McCrady and her husband, Joe, who will miss him dearly. His brother, Jimmy Seymour, and sister, Kathleen Lemieux, will cherish the countless memories they shared. Wally's granddaughters, Adyson and Brooklyn McCrady, will remember their grandfather as a guiding light, full of wisdom and laughter.
Wally's passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew him, but his spirit will continue to live on through the stories told, the wisdom imparted, and the love he shared. He was a man who made a lasting impact not only on his family but also on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday July 23rd, at 11:00am at Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church in Standish with Rev. Fr. Tom Held presiding.

I knew Wally as a teenager. He was always kind and fun-loving. I´ll never forget the ride he gave me and my girfriends down Grand River in his `57 Chevy! When no cars were around he would tap up and down on the accelerator and shake the car and we would LAUGH and LAUGH like we were on a ride at thr fair. Bless you, Wally. You are in God´s house now. I will remember your kindness always.

I lived four house's from Wally in Detroit. It was a great neighborhood to have grew up in. We also worked at Feasel's Moble. When we were working together for lunch Wally always loved to drive down Grand River to Daily's drive-in and bring back a couple of Daily foot long hot dogs. All the guys in our neighborhood all stop in to the gas station to see what was going on in the summer. The laughter was great and the memories are with us all. Wally and I remained friends for 60 years. Miss you my dear friend. Ken
