Wanda Gale Holman, 87 passed away at 3:00pm Wednesday August 14, 2025 due to a heart attack. She was born in Cleveland, Oklahoma to her loving parents Arvel and Peggy Matlock.

Following High School, where she graduated co-valedictorian, she studied at Oklahoma Baptist University and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree. In 1960 she married Allison (Skip) Holman and became a pastor's wife. They pastored churches in Oklahoma, California and Arizona. They then served as missionaries to the Papago and Pima Indians in Southern Arizona, and later Navajo, Hopi and Apache Indians in Northern Arizona. In 1985-2008 they served as missionaries in the Republic of Panama. They retired in 2008 to Mustang. They continued their ministry planting three churches in the Oklahoma Metro area.

Wanda and Skip had one son, Mark Allison Holman, born 1966 who passed away in 1999 following a heart transplant.

She loved playing the piano and was a tremendous aid in the ministry to numerous cultural groups. She became proficient in the Spanish language and enjoyed visiting with the Hispanic people. She loved traveling, including trips to Israel, Alaska and many other places in the USA.

Wanda Gale is preceded in death by son Mark, (4/20/1066 – 12/02/1999), her parents, grandparents, her oldest brother, A.D. Matlock, and older sister Jacqualine Duncan. She is survived by her husband Allison (Skip) Holman, daughter in law Mari Holman; older sister Gwen Scott, Houston, Texas; younger sister Darlene Owen, Norman, Ok; various nieces and nephews, as well as many loving friends, here, and each place she has lived.

Graveside services will be held, following the funeral service, at Gotebo cemetery, Gotebo Oklahoma.
