Warlenda (Caulton) McClair, age 78, of Toledo, OH passed away on October 31, 2024. Warlenda was born in Greenville, Mississippi to the late Mary and Buford McClendon. besides her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband: Tommie Dossie Caulton; grandmother: Rosebud Grice; brothers: Keith and Buford Jr. McClendon; baby sister: Mary McClendon; nieces: Tyra McClendon, Shawnie Wright; nephews: Anthony McClendon, baby Jakai McClendon; brother-in-law: Vincent Caulton; sister-in-law: Doris Simmons, Bertie and Reverand Dossie Caulton; a special cousin: Jeanette Files.
Left to cherish the memory of Warlenda is her loving daughter: Cher Lanette Caulton, grandchildren: James Howard Jr. (Yonica), Shaniqua L.G Smith, Alexis D.G Smith, Anthony L Govan (Destiny), Ty'Shawn Lamb, Ty'Liyah Walker; great grandchildren: Trysten Allison, Aniyah Posey, Serenity Howard, Lilly Govan; brothers: Troy McClendon (Virginia), Freddie McClendon (Cindy), and her dedicated sister: Yovone McClendon; brothers-in-law: James (Carla), Willis (Vicki), Richard, John Caulton; sister-in-law: Alma Hall; and her very best friend in the whole world for a life time: Gail Byrd.
Warlenda was a gospel singer all over different churches in Toledo, Ohio. She belonged to a gospel group that also sang all over Toledo. A fun fact about her is she could play a mean game of poker, spades, tunk and biz wiz you came in with money, but she sent you home broke. Warlenda was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and a friend who will be forever missed.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Habegger Funeral Services, 2001 Consaul Street, Toledo, OH 43605 from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral ceremony at 12:00 P.M.
