Wayne Allen Avery of Lehigh Acres, FL formerly of Napanoch, NY passed away Aug 25,2023 in the arms of his loving wife of 52 years, Lucy Avery.
Wayne was born October 9,1948 in Ellenville, NY to Elmer Avery Jr and Doris (Porter) Avery.At the time of his passing, Wayne was predeceased by both of his parents; his grandmother, Eva Porter, who helped raise him; daughter, Gina Marie Avery; sisters: Kim and Peggy Avery; and brother, Ronald Avery.
He was survived by his wife, Lucy Avery; daughter, Dianalynn Avery; grandsons: Tony and Carlos; and great-granddaughters: Estelle and Mercedes, all of Lehigh Acres FL; brothers: Mike, Anthony "Neach", and James Avery all of Ellenville, NY, Joe Avery of Colorado, Reggie Avery of Lehigh Acres FL; sisters: Robin and Judy of NY, and Charlene of FL; as well as many sisters and brothers-in-law; nieces; nephews; aunts; uncles; cousins; and close friends.At this time Dianalynn would like to say a special thank you to Aunt Ann for all the help taking care of Dad, and the rest of the family for listening and reaching out to my mother while going through this difficult time.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, August 9,2025 at Loucks Funeral Home from 11 AM - 1 PM with a service beginning at 12:30 PM. Burial will follow at Fantinekill Cemetery.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
