Wendy Jill Norine was born in Litchfield, Minnesota on January 31, 1953, to Reuben and Harriet Norine. She passed away on August 6, 2025, at Ecumen in Litchfield. A funeral service will be held at First Lutheran Church, Litchfield, Minnesota on Tuesday, August 19, at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held at church one hour prior to the service.

Wendy was a lifelong resident of the Litchfield area. She graduated from Litchfield Senior High School in 1971. Following high school, she went on to nursing school, earning both LPN and RN certifications.

Wendy dedicated her entire professional life to health care, including many years at Meeker County Memorial Hospital as well as several other health care organizations, always with the same devotion to caregiving that defined her life. Her passion was to care for newborns and children.

She was a faithful member of First Lutheran Church in Litchfield. Her faith was a quiet thread woven through her days—steady, sincere, and grounding.

Outside of work, Wendy found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was deeply connected to her family and maintained close ties with lifelong friends. She adored her Shi-Tzus—first Sophie and later Gracie, who were never far from her side.

Wendy lived in Litchfield and for many years on Lake Minnie Belle. Lake life brought her peace, and she cherished every moment she spent there. From November 2023, she resided at Ecumen Memory Care in Litchfield, where she received loving support in the town that had always been home.

Wendy was preceded in death by her parents Harriet in 1986, and Reuben in 2014.

She is survived by her brother David (Vera) of Clive, Iowa, nephews Ryan of Aventura, Florida, and Andrew (Beth) of Clive, Iowa and their children, Parker, Teddy, and Cece, as well a host of godchildren, many dear relatives and friends.
