William Griffith Obituary

Funeral services for William Oliver Griffith, 83, of Bullard will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Stewart Family Funeral Home with Decon Fred Arrameibidez officiating. Burial will follow at Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery in Tyler, under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home. Mr. Griffith passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, in Tyler. He was born June 20, 1942, in Chicago, IL to Oliver Grant and Helen Dunningan Griffith William was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He graduated from Central Texas College. He held the position of 1st Sergeant U.S. Army 22 years and 31 years in Law Enforcement. He is survived by his loving family including wife, Norma Griffith; sons David Griffith(Shelly), Richard Griffith(Stacey), Chris Clinton(Rheana), Mike Clinton(Jessica); daughters Jodie Head(Scott), Chelsey Kirkland(D'Marcus), Kelli McNally(Will); grandchildren Cameron Griffith, McKenzie Head, Bailey Head, Liam Ward, Valen Kirkland, Xavier Kirkland, Nathan Clinton, Ashley Martin, Kade Clinton, Reese Clinton, Tucker Clinton, Colton Pye, Landon Pye, Landry McNally, Lane McNally; and great-grandchild Camden Martin. Pallbearers will be David Griffith, Mike Clinton, Will McNally, Scott Head, Nathan Clinton, Kade Clinton, Reese Clinton, and Tucker Clinton. Honorary pallbearers will be Cameron Griffith, Lane McNally, and John Bedford. Visitation is scheduled from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 15, 2025, at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, in Tyler. If desired, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, USO, or St Jude Children's Research Hospital.
