William D. Kane, 76,
William D. Kane, 76, of Shiloh, passed away Tuesday night on October 14th 2025 with his loving family by his side.
William was born in Ashland on September 18th 1949 to William E. and Margaret (nee Streit) Kane.
He attended Ashland High School before entering the United States Army to serve In the Vietnam war in 1965.
He later returned to Ohio and worked for the Hedstrom, Eagle and Abbott Corporations before his retirement in 2011.
William was a big supporter of the Salvation Army in Wooster, Ohio, and was a lifelong member of the VFW #1067. He enjoyed traveling, camping, General Motors cars as well as muscle cars like- 1964 Black GTO Pontiac and 1967 GTX Coronet.
William is survived by his children; William Kane II of Ashland, Jessie (Frederick) Wade of Pflugerville, TX, Jodie Kane of Portland, OR, Christopher Kane of Shibuya, Japan, Lindsey (John) Onie of Adario, and Nathan (Shawna) Kane of Ashland; his grandchildren, Ariana Hughes, Riley Hunter, Kyle Kane, Gillespie Byrnes, Josh Haley, Giada Onie, Gunnar Onie, Rikki Wade, Liv Kane, Mark Kane, Conan Kane, Avian Alspaugh and Iris Kane; and his siblings, Sharon Van Bremen, Constance Parker, and David (Carol) Snyder of Knoxville, TN.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Terry Kane, and two brother in laws, Harold J. Parker and William Van Bremen.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday October 21st 2025 at 12:00pm in the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home with Rev. Reggie Cureton presiding. Friends and family may call two hours prior to services from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Following the services, William will be laid to rest in Trinity Cemetery beside his mother, Margaret, where the Ashland Veteran Honor Guard will conduct full military honors.
