William (Bill) Lyle Keller, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home in Sandy, Utah, on July 30, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was 86 years old. Bill was born on June 1, 1939, at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Lyle and Louetta Keller. A devoted family man, Bill married his high school sweetheart, Tamara Mae Deyoe, on December 13, 1962. Their love story was later sealed for time and all eternity in the Draper Utah Temple on January 22, 2011. A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Bill served in the Air Force Reserve. Bill first worked at Salt Lake Blue Print as a courier, where he learned his way around the city on his bike. He then worked as a car salesman at Butterfield Motors and a route salesman at Souvall Brothers before he dedicated 45 years of hard work and loyalty to Smith's Food and Drug. Here, Bill built lasting friendships and rose to management. After retirement, Bill worked at Main & SKY Park City Utah as a guest service agent. Outside of work, Bill was most at home outdoors. He found joy skiing the slopes, swinging a club on the golf course, casting a line along a gurgling stream or still lake, or out in nature on hunting trips with friends and family-pastimes that brought him both peace and laughter. Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Louetta; his daughter, Kimberley Keller; and his granddaughter, Alyssa Keller. He leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience through his wife, Tamara; his four children, Chad Keller, Cory Keller, Kristin Justice, John Justice (husband), and Kevin Keller; his grandchildren, Blake Keller, Jordyn Keller (wife), Brittney Keller, Nastasha Justice, Nickelette Justice, and Ayrton Justice; and his great-grandson, Amari Keller. Bill's steady presence, generous heart, and quiet wit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. A viewing will be held at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Chapel 1007 W. South Jordan Pkwy on Wednesday Aug 6 from 6-8 pm. Funeral service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 1223 East 7800 South, Sandy, UT on Thursday Aug 7. Viewing at 11 a.m.; service to follow at 12 pm. The Keller family would like to give a special thank you to the team at Serenity Hospice for their compassionate and loving care and support during this time. The Keller family would also like to thank Pointe Meadows Rehabilitation in Lehi, Utah for their compassionate care and support.
