After his military service, Bill channeled his passion for building into a successful career as a construction contractor. He was instrumental in constructing numerous homes throughout the Brown County area, including the beloved Little Nashville Opry, a testament to his craftsmanship and dedication to the community. He was a member of the American Legion Post 13 in Brown County. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Bill was an ordained minister who took great joy in uniting friends in marriage
Bill found enjoyment in feeding the hummingbirds, taking care of his aquariums and tending to his 100+ house plants. He was a fan of the Indiana Pacers and NASCAR. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Bill will be remembered most for his generous heart, unwavering love of family and friends, being a friend to all and his ability to make others laugh.
He will be missed by his children, Jonathan "Jon" Klepper of Bean Blossom, Douglas Monroe of Bloomington and Tonia Klepper of North Vernon; grandchildren, Javier, Jalanni, Jaliana and Jazzari Monroe, Christian and Audrey Redmon and Ayla, Declan, Malachi, and Kelsey Alchin; siblings, Mary Ayers of Brown County and John Zelinga of Chicago, IL. as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
