In Loving Memory of William "Billy" Knaus
It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of William "Billy" Knaus, a cherished son, brother, godson, uncle, cousin and friend. Billy passed away leaving behind a legacy of quiet strength, compassion, and heartfelt generosity that will never be forgotten.
Billy was the beloved son of Debra and Donald Knaus Sr, and a devoted brother, and brother in law to Donald Jr and his wife Karly, David and his wife Jacqueline, and Matthew and his wife Laura. He shared a close and meaningful bond with his Godmother, Caryl Anne McBride, who was a constant source of love and support throughout his life. He was a proud and loving uncle to Emma, Alex, Allie, Sofie, Donnie, Hailey, and Tommy each of whom he cherished deeply.
Billy lived with a heart wide open to others. He was kind, good hearted, and selfless. He was always putting others first. He gave freely of himself, never seeking recognition, and always seeing the good in people. He was the kind of person who would hold your hand in a moment of pain, offer comfort without needing words, and simply be there, present, steady, and full of quiet compassion.
His generosity was matched by a quiet intelligence and a remarkable ability to engage in thoughtful conversation on nearly any topic.
He had a deep love for video games, not just playing them, but sharing them. Whether he was exploring a new world or revisiting an old favorite, Billy loved telling you all about it with a spark in his eye and excitement in his voice. It was one of the many ways he connected with those he cared about.
Adventurous at heart, Billy once walked and backpacked across Europe, embracing the journey and the world around him with humility and awe. He found joy in life's simple pleasures and offered that joy freely to those around him.
Those who knew him will remember his gentleness, his thoughtfulness, his unique spirit, and the way he truly listened and cared. He was one of a kind, loyal, and filled with love.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 3:00-6:00PM located at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Eleventh Hour an organization in which William enjoyed going to, giving back and helping the animals
