William "Bill" I. Patterson, 69, passed away into the arms of the Lord, June 3, 2025.
He was born on August 27, 1955 in Dover, Ohio to William D. Patterson of Dover, who survives, and the late Teresa Joan Patterson.
In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his infant son, Billy Patterson; his brother, Brian Patterson; his sister, Judy Letizio; and his ex-wife Tammy.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his son, David (Lea) Patterson of Strasburg; his grandchildren, Caleb, Makenzie, and Kelsey; his sisters, Marcia L (Mark) Grothe of St Regis Falls, NY, Sandra K (Doug) Thomas of Sherrodsville, and Debra J (Bob) Copple of Dover; and plenty of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, including his great-niece Gracie, all of whom loved their Uncle Bill very much.
Bill graduated from Tusky Valley in 1973 and went on to work at Colfor Inc. He loved watching The Ohio State and Browns football teams, watching old Westerns, and visiting the Bison farm in Cadiz. He was a fireworks enthusiast and enjoyed setting them off on the Fourth of July, surrounded by family, at his niece and nephews' house. His favorite part was watching them "go boom." Most of all, Bill loved every dog he had with his whole heart and had a best friend in each of them.
A private memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at the Sherrodsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The Baxter-Gardner Funeral Home at Sherrodsville has been entrusted with his cremation arrangements.
