William "Willie" Ridings, a cherished soul known for his creativity, generosity, and passion, left this world on July 18, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on December 21, 1954, in Flint, Michigan, Willie's early years were filled with the warmth of a close-knit family and the rhythms of the music he adored. He departed peacefully in Davison, Michigan, surrounded by the love of his family and the melodies that always filled his heart.

Willie's life was a rich tapestry of love, artistry, and simple joys. He was the beloved "Pappy" of Angie (Matt) Vandyke, Melissa "Moe" Ridings, Stacy (Ash) Zachar, and Dan "DJ" (Cass) Zachar. His legacy continues through the lives of his adoring grandchildren, Caleb, Alexis, Jack, and great grandson Parker who will remember him for his impromptu guitar serenades and the tall fishing tales he spun. Willie's loyal dog, Cody, was a constant companion and a source of comfort and joy throughout his life. He is also survived by his close friend Theresa Garland, many nieces & nephews, including his special niece Lisa "Weezy" Webb.

His siblings, Jim (Rene´) Ridings, Sue Papke, Donna (Gary) Prater, Dave (Pat) Ridings, and bonus sibling Bob (Janet) Williams, will fondly recall Willie's generous spirit and the creative spark he brought to every family gathering. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, James and Lois, and his devoted wife, Danell, and his sister Faye with whom he now shares a heavenly reunion.

Willie's passion for music was evident to all who knew him. His guitar was not just an instrument but an extension of his soul. He filled countless rooms with melodies that resonated with the hearts of those around him. His love for fishing was more than a hobby; it was a testament to his appreciation for nature's tranquility and the simple pleasures of life. Above all, Willie's greatest joy was found in the time he spent with his family. Each moment was cherished, each memory a treasure that his family will hold dear forever.
