William Schell, age 77, of London, Kentucky passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 54 years, Mary Ella Helton Schell; three daughters, Loretta Brock and husband Jimmy of Mt. Sterling, Amanda Watkins and husband Tony of London, Billie Owens and husband Jason of London; four granddaughters, Emily Brock of Mt. Sterling, Lydia, Sarah and Chloe Watkins of London; one brother, Oliver Schell; his special pups Brandi and Eric; plus a host of other family and friends to cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents; William McCoy & Bertie McKnight Schell; five sisters, Artha Hammons, Helen Collins, Dorothy Baker, Kathleen Sexton, Pauline Smith; and by three brothers, Arthur Schell, John Schell, Denver Schell.
William was a devoted husband, loving family man, and faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church in Woolum, Kentucky.
William was a farmer by trade and heart, with a passion for gardening and doing things the right way-always meticulous in his work and his ways. He cherished time with his family, especially when sharing a bowl of ice cream or enjoying the simple joys of home life.
He loved his church deeply and lived out his faith in both word and deed. His beloved dog, Brandi, was a loyal companion, and her presence brought joy and comfort to William's days.
Above all, William treasured his family and loved his wife dearly. His steady love, strong values, and gentle spirit will be missed by all who knew him.
A funeral service honoring William Schell will be held on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Johnny Shell, Casey Daniels and Jeremy Abner officiating. Interment will follow at the Schell Family Cemetery in London, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 21, 2025 beginning at 6:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. The pallbearers will be Tony Watkins, Jimmy Brock, Jason Owens, David Helton, Mike Leddington, Nick Garrison. Oliver Shell is an honorary pallbearer. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
