William Paul Zelesnik, 67, of Akron, passed away on May 7, 2025. He was born in Wadsworth, Ohio on March 28, 1958 to the late Paul and Betty Zelesnik. He grew up in Marshallville, Ohio before residing in Akron for the past 30 years.
William was a nature enthusiast. He loved spending time outdoors scouting for wildlife and bird watching. He was also an avid racing fan, his favorites being Indy cars and sprint cars. In his free time, he enjoyed watching documentaries and cooking shows, and reading biographies.
William was a wonderful friend. He will always be remembered for his generous spirit. It was not uncommon for him to offer a helping hand to others however he could, whether it be running errands, giving people a ride to appointments, or lending an ear when someone needed to talk. He was a true angel to many and will be dearly missed.
In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Kollar and nephew, Adam Zelesnik.
William is survived by his brothers, Larry (Beth) Zelesnik and Dennis (Connie) Zelesnik; nephews, Noal and Evan (Amanda); very special longtime friend, Sandi Lowther and her entire family; and many friends.
Per William's wishes, his family will celebrate his life privately.
