Wilma Carriveau, age 97, of Beaverton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 31, 2025. She was born on April 16, 1928, in Oak Grove, Louisiana, to Ova and Bernice Nunez.
A devoted homemaker, Wilma dedicated her life to caring for others. She was the proud owner and operator of B&W Honey in Beaverton. From 1980 to 2019, Wilma was also a member of the Honeybee Stingers Band, which was founded by her and her husband Robert.
Wilma is survived by her sons: Basil (Lynn) Rummer, James (Mary) Rummer, and Lonnie (Sheree) Rummer; stepdaughters: Denise, Beverly, Debbie, and Jeanne; brother: Boyd Nunez; grandchildren: Tracy & Buck Gorges, Tesha & Scott McFarland, Alisa and Johnny Abshire, Basil Rummer III, Hardy, Lori, Julie, Sam, John, Monica, Melissa, Tonya, Jeremy, and Jamie Lee; as well as many great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; sons: Daryl and Lowell; daughter: Darlene McDermont; and stepsons: Bobby, Patrick, and Michael Carriveau.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Beaverton. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
