Zeno Martin Stawizynski, age 80, of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, passed away on July 21, 2025, at Lake Regional Health System. Zeno was born on February 22, 1945, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Zeno John and Ruth (Scheadler) Stawizynski. On October 13, 1984, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Judy (Key) Stawizynski, in House Springs, Missouri. Together they built a life full of love, laughter, and a good amount of time outdoors. A true outdoorsman at heart, Zeno found joy in fishing, hunting, boating, and tackling just about any repair project that came his way. Known as a jack of all trades, he had a knack for fixing things-and a talent for doing so with a bit of humor. With his sharp wit and slightly mischievous grin, Zeno was proudly a "smart ass," but always the kind that brought people together with a good laugh. More than anything, he was a loyal friend to many, someone you could count on when it mattered. Zeno had a deep love for animals, especially his dogs, who were his faithful companions through the years. His family and friends will remember him not only for his skills and sense of humor, but for his big heart and unwavering kindness. He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Stawizynski; Son, Jeffery Martin of House Springs; grandchildren Zeno, Joshua, Sabra, and Hunter; siblings Joyce Arnold, Barbara Griffin, Michael Stawizynski, and Ailene Gerecke; along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will cherish his memory. Zeno is preceded in death by his parents, son, Zeno Martin, and granddaughter, Samantha. Zeno lived life on his own terms, left an impression on everyone he met, and will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Kidwell-Garber Funeral Laurie/Sunrise Beach Chapel.

Judy and family, today a prayer of thanksgiving for Marty's life and for peace to set in replacing sadness. I came to know Marty through Matt Rogers, his next door neighbor at the lake. Almost instantly, Matt, Jamie, Emma and Zoe viewed the two of you as family. The first time I met Marty was in the middle of the lake after our boat had a malfunction. He showed up to tow us, then fixed the boat expecting nothing in return- saying "happy to do it". Hearing the stories of Matt and Marty going fishing on an early Saturday morning or the giggles of the girls as they ran over to your house makes me feel like I knew him. I know that he lived a beautiful and simple life, and how much he was admired by those who knew him. I ask the Lord to take him and to hold you close until you are reunited.
