Melvin Cook Obituary
Mel came to Napa in 1943 where he met his dearest love, Marie McNew. They married on June 8, 1952. Together they raised four children, Michael (daughter-in-law Linda), Karen, Cathy and Vicky. He was a loving grandfather of seven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Mel is also survived by caring nephews, Jeff and Stephen. Before his retirement Mel was a respected jeweler for many years. The family would like to thank the Queen of the Valley staff for their care and kindness. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Queen of the Valley Foundation would be appreciated.

Mel was a great friend for many years. He was kind and was knowledgeable about many things. He was a skilled jeweler and craftsman and was always willing to help when asked. This is a huge loss. We send our condolences to the family.
