Jeanne Albert Obituary

NEW BRITAIN

Jeanne Albert, beloved wife of the late Euclide Albert, passed away June 27th, 2025 at the age of 96, surrounded by her loving family. Jeanne was the daughter of the late Antonio and Celina (Morin) Belmont of Edmundston, NB, Canada. She spent the early part of her life in Edmundston before meeting the love of her life, Euclide Albert, and moving to St Agatha, ME where they started their family. They moved to New Britain CT in 1955 where she began working in payroll at Fafnir Bearing, where she stayed over 35 years until her retirement. Jeanne loved her very large family. She loved to cook for everyone and was never happier than when her table was full of family and friends for a meal. She also enjoyed her games of dominoes with all of the aunts and cousins as well as a good game of cards, bingo, and her puzzles. Her door was always open to friends, relatives, grandchildren and most recently her many great and great-great grandchildren. In her later years Jeanne was at Jerome Home in New Britain where once again she had numerous friends with whom she shared all of her favorite pastimes, especially bingo! Jeanne will always be remembered for her overwhelming kindness and welcoming smile. No one was a stranger, the door was always open, everyone was welcome. Jeanne was a member of the St Jean's The Baptiste Women's Auxiliary. Jeanne was predeceased by her siblings Rose, Ralph, Jill, Roger, John, Louis and Marie. She was also predeceased by her daughter Jaqueline Chamberland and son Donald. She is survived by her sister Louise Webb of Vernon CT, daughters Florine Corriveau (Ernie Thibideau) of Plainville CT, Doris (Richard) Chasse of Southington CT and son Michael (Ginger) Albert of Pownal, ME. She is also survived by her many grand children, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend their thanks to the caring and attentive staff of Jerome Home and Dr James St Pierre of Lexington Cardiology Associates for his excellent, attentive care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Jerome Home Recreational Department, c/o Linda Gertz, 975 Corbin Ave., New Britain CT., 06052. New Britain with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 1755 Stanley St. New Britain.
